Today I thought it would be fun (and hopefully helpful) to share some maternity wardrobe items that I've loved during my pregnancy so far. I definitely found it helpful to read other blogs or get recommendations from friends! The great thing is that maternity clothing is actually cute and trendy these days. I've found some stylish items that are really comfy, affordable and practical! If you're expecting, I hope you enjoy this post and get some ideas (if not, maybe you know someone you could pass the info along to!)...
1. LIZ LANGE MATERNITY TEE DRESSES
The Liz Lange maternity tee dresses are SO comfy and flattering! I love the body con style and the ruched sides allow room for belly growth so you can wear them all through pregnancy. I have the three quarter length green one pictured above (similar here), this striped short sleeve dress (photo on the right) and this tank dress (in gray). Now that spring is here, I'll be getting a ton of wear out of these dresses. I've linked a bunch of others below for you to shop!
2. OVER THE BELLY MATERNITY ANKLE JEANS
I've bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans during my pregnancy. It took me some time to find a few pairs that fit well. When you are in the awkward bump stage (where you look like you had one too many tacos), maternity jeans just don't fit right. Everyone grows at different rates, but once I was well into my second trimester I was able to shop for maternity jeans successfully! Target has a limited selection in stores but lots of options online. I found these distressed ankle skinny jeans in stores and I love them! The over the belly elastic band is both comfortable and supportive. The distressed denim is stylish and makes you feel like you're in regular jeans! My only complaint is that I wish the belly band was nude instead of navy. For reference, I'm wearing size xsmall.
3. ASOS MATERNITY DRESSES
ASOS has been my 'go
to' site for all my special occasion maternity dresses! I've had such good luck
ordering from them and loved all 3 dresses I've purchased. It can be tough
ordering online (epsecially maternity clothes), but I read reviews and it's
helpful that they tell you what size the model is wearing. The models on their
sites are wearing a size 4. Keep in mind, this means that the ASOS dresses run
a little small (models are typically in a 2). I've ordered a 6 in my dresses
and they've been a perfect fit. These dresses are great quality and super
affordable! I also love how they are constantly updating the site with new
styles to shop. I bought this ruffle heart dress for Valentine's
Day and this navy skater dress for my baby shower (both are on sale!).
4. BLACK MATERNITY PONTE PANTS
A pair of black ponte pants are a wardrobe must have! I wear my LOFT pairs all the time (both regular and faux leather), so I knew I wanted to find a comparable maternity pair. I found these under the belly ponte pants in stores at Target. It took some time for my belly to grow into them, but they are comfortable and perfect for workwear, church, or a night out! I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a dressy maternity pant.
I have literally been LIVING
in these Liz Lange v-neck tees from Target! A
few months ago, I bought a black one and the striped one in the above left photo. I wash them and wear them several
times a week, so I went to Target last week and got the gray one (above right photo) and this hot pink one. I can't rave
enough about these tees!! Since my week days are casual, I've basically just
been rotating through them. They are cute worn alone or great for layering.
They are all available in stores right now and only $14.99!
6. COMFY FASHION SNEAKERS
Once I started experiencing an achy back and ankles, I knew it was time to invest in some comfortable and supportive sneakers! A few months ago I bought these white Adidas Neo Advantage sneakers at Boscovs (available here and here). I love these sneakers because the comfort level is great and they look good with jeans, leggings, dresses and more (I styled them with my striped tee dress in this post). I also bought these light bone/bronze Nike sneakers before we went to Nashville. They are super supportive, great for walking and I love the metallic bronze color. I receive so many compliments on these stylish sneaks! I've linked more for you to shop in the widget below...
These are incredible options! Makes me want to be pregnant again. You are adorable!!
