Did you all have a good Christmas week? We had a really nice, relaxing time with family! 

If you're still looking for something to wear, today I'm sharing a last minute New Years Eve outfit. This look is perfect for NYE but also for any night out! I'm getting this post up later than I had hoped, but it was a busy week around here! My in-laws spent a few days with us and helped out with projects around the house and painting in the nursery! I'm getting excited to decorate and can't wait to find out the gender. 

Anyway, this lace top from Express is so feminine and pretty! I love the deep red color (of course!) and how the lace detail is shown off by the nude under layer. I had trouble finding this top online, but the all over lace tee is pretty much the same (I may even like it better!). For a feminine meets edgy vibe, I wore my faux leather leggings (extra 60% off!!) from LOFT. Also, I have to mention my new favorite earrings from Hazel & Deene. I got them for Christmas and they are so pretty! I love how the beads add a little glam to the hoops. 

Hope you all have a great NYE! We are keeping it pretty low key this year...dinner out then probably watching the ball drop!

The Best Gift Ever

Today Todd and I (and Jax!!) are so excited to share a little secret with you all...we are expecting a baby this spring!!! I still can't believe it and it feels so surreal to be writing this post! We feel very blessed to be on this journey and can't wait to meet our little one. It really is the best Christmas gift ever! :)

I thought it would be fun to do a little Q&A about my pregnancy so far! 

How far along are you? 17 weeks! 

When did you find out? Toward the end of September-1 week before we left for our trip to Central Europe! I was a little anxious going on the trip, but everything turned out fine. Since it was so early in my pregnancy, I wasn't too fatigued or sick. 

How have your symptoms been? Not bad! I am very fortunate that I had minimal morning sickness. I have been a little tired, but not bad at all! Instead of the normal symptoms, I've had two bad colds during my pregnancy and both lasted awhile and were pretty rough. I'm just getting over the second one (and praying it's the last one!). Apparently your body has a tougher time fighting off germs while pregnant...something I never realized before! 

Maternity clothes? Not yet...I've mostly been wearing tunic sweaters and leggings lately. Since my bump is still small, I can wear my normal clothing for now. Fashion is very bump friendly these days with all the over sized sweaters and tunics and leggings!

Any food cravings? Not yet, although I've eaten more soup in last few months than ever before! Maybe that's a craving!? 

Gender? We will find out around 20 weeks...can't wait! 

What do you miss the most? I really missed my normal coffee this fall (a.k.a. pumpkin spice!). I tried to stay away from caffeine during the first trimester. Now, I drink some, but not a lot.

What are you most looking forward to? Finding out the gender and preparing the nursery! And of course, all the adventures ahead when baby arrives!

Styling Camtrade Wedge Booties 2 Ways

Happy Monday before Christmas!

Today I thought it would be fun to post a gift guide for stocking stuffers! I don't know about you, but I tend to forget about the stocking and concentrate on the bigger gifts for my family! I always love opening up my stocking on Christmas morning and here are some easy and affordable ideas I think every girl will like. The MAC mini lip gloss kit ($26.25) is the perfect stocking stuffer and it comes in a festive little box! I always love shopping at Bath & Body Works for gifts and they have plenty of small lotions, lip glosses, shower gels, etc. for stockings. Cold weather accessories like beanies, gloves (these come in 10 colors!) and fuzzy socks are also great ideas that everyone can use. And how cute is the Kate Spade leopard iPhone case

Green & White for the Holidays

TGIF! What do you have planned this weekend?? December is such a busy month, but I love it. We have Christmas/birthday parties to attend every day this weekend! Unfortunately, I'm sick with a nasty cold again, so I'm praying I feel well enough to still enjoy everything!

Anyway...on to fashion! I picked up this v-neck pullover sweater at the Nordstrom holiday shopping party last Sunday. It is SO SOFT and the green color is beautiful for the holidays! It's pricier than what I would normally spend on a sweater ($49) but when I tried it on, I fell in love with the quality and style. I love how it falls slightly off the shoulder and the side slits add a fun flare! I'm sure this sweater will go on sale soon, so I'll keep an eye out! FYI- I wore a layering white tank underneath since it's pretty low cut. 
I had originally planned to wear regular jeans but when I laid my white skinny jeans (40% off with code STYLEEVENT) next to this sweater, I just loved the combo!! There is something about hunter green and white that is so crisp and wintery! The white denim definitely brings out the festive hunter green color. White jeans are no longer taboo after Labor Day, so break them out and try them with your favorite sweater!
Here's a look at the back of the sweater. The v-back makes it unique compared to a basic sweater and I also love how the length is slightly longer in the back.

Comfy Cowl Neck Tunic

Happy Monday, friends!

Today I'm sharing a simple yet stylish neutral winter outfit. I LOVE sweater dresses during the winter months! They are so comfy and perfect to wear with your favorite boots or booties. This cowl neck tunic from LOFT is particularly cozy because of the sweatshirt material! When I saw it in stores and felt the material, I HAD to try it on. It is seriously the softest tunic ever! It looks more like a tunic sweater online than a dress, but I'm pretty sure it's the same one. I'm wearing the charcoal color. For other LOFT gray sweater dress options, I love this textured sweater dress and this v-neck swing sweater dress (both on sale for $35, no code needed)!
For bottoms, I'm wearing my LOFT Seamed Ponte Leggings. These are my absolute favorite leggings!! They are thicker than regular leggings and much more flattering. Right now, they are on sale for $39.50!
I styled this tunic dress with my Ivanka Trump over the knee boots. They are from last season, but Nordstrom has an almost identical pair on sale for $119.90. These OTK boots are so comfortable and make your legs look longer!
This gorgeous off white Kate Spade bag was a birthday gift from mother-in-law! I don't have any white purses, so I was excited to add this to my bag collection. I love the snake skin detail on the straps and down the sides! White bags are usually worn in the spring and summer months, but I think they are unexpected and fun during the winter. It's also a nice contrast against the gray and black in this outfit!
