Feminine Meets Edgy

Happy Thursday! This week is flying by...
What do you have planned for the weekend? Any fun Halloween activities? My weekend is going to be pretty busy, but not with Halloween things. We have plans to celebrate my dads birthday on Friday evening with dinner out and on Saturday we are headed to Kitchen Kettle Village in Lancaster. I love visiting the antique shops, specialty food stores and cafes! They have a little bit of everything. Now, we just need beautiful fall weather on Saturday!

Today I'm sharing this gorgeous mixed media lantern blouse from LOFT. I saw this top in stores and it was true love! My last post was all about my obsession with deep red colors, so you all know the color was a huge selling point! The unique part about this blouse is the lantern sleeves. They are so girly and fun! I also really like the split neck. I'm wearing a black lace cami underneath. This top is $44.50 at full price but LOFT always runs sales so keep an eye out to get 40-50% off.
For a feminine meets edgy vibe, I wore my LOFT faux leather ponte leggings. Ponte leggings are thicker than regular leggings which I really love. Thin leggings are definitely a no if you aren't wearing a dress or tunic shirt. Since this top isn't very long, ponte leggings or a thicker pant/jean are a better option. I highly recommend these leggings...they are so sleek and comfy! I also like how they are faux leather in the front and regular ponte pant in the back.

Fall Color Crush: Burgundy

Happy Tuesday, friends!

This may come as no surprise to many of you...but my favorite color for the fall and winter seasons is BURGUNDY. I love all shades of deep red! This color is so rich and beautiful and looks flattering on everyone. Burgundy is a trending color again this season and it is everywhere! I rounded up my current favorites from Nordstrom for you to shop. I included clothing, accessories and booties at different price points. With the holidays coming up, many of these items make great gifts, too (just sayin'). Comment below and let me know your favorite!

So cute for fall and winter!

LOVE this top...great price and looks cute alone or layered!

Fringe infinity scarves are very trendy again this year!

This choker necklace is a good price and comes in several colors.

I may have to buy this dress...looks so comfy and flattering and a very chic style right now! It can be worn alone or with tights and there are SO many shoe options (tall boots, booties, flats, heels, etc.).

These popular earrings are GORGEOUS and make a great gift! Tons of color options, too.

Wish I would have bought this during the NSale...long cardigan sweaters are my favorite and this one is so soft!

Happy shopping!

Styling the Perfect Tee that Gives Back

Happy Monday, friends!

Today's post is all about the PERFECT gray tee. I have a tough time finding a good quality t-shirt that doesn't shrink, stretch out, or rip. I'll find one I love and after a few wears, I'll notice a small hole. This has happened so many times (ugh)! Well, my friend Carly of Thirty Something Fashion felt the same way, so she created her own t-shirts, made right here in Pennsylvania! How cool is that!? What's even more awesome is that for every tee sold, she donates $1.50 to K.Hovnanian Children's Hospital in New Jersey.
When Carly asked if I wanted to try out her new tee, I jumped at the chance! I couldn't be more impressed with the fit and quality of this shirt. The material is so soft and the fitted shape is very flattering. The v-neckline falls at just the right spot and I also love how the tee is thick enough that you don't need a cami or tank underneath.
Thirty Something Tees come in two colors, gray and white. The gray runs slightly smaller than the white, which is more of a relaxed fit. Both tees cost $48 and come in sizes XS-XL. Trust me, this t-shirt is worth the investment, and the best part is that it gives back to the community!
I wanted to share a few ways to layer this tee. It looks great alone, but for this time of year, it fits perfectly under cozy cardigans! I wore my new 'go to' olive cardigan from Kohl's. This Sonoma Goods for Life cardigan is lightweight and great for the fall season. It comes in several colors and is currently on sale for $17.99!

Our Trip to Central Europe

Happy weekend, friends!

It feels like forever since I've posted on here. If you follow me on social media, you know I was traveling in Central Europe! I went with my husband, Todd, sister, Kim, and brother-in-law, John. At our final stop in Prague, we met up with our friends, Dan and Noelle. We got back this past Monday night, but I caught a nasty cold so I've been out of commission this week. I wanted to do a post to share a little from our trip. This is more of a travel post than a fashion post, but I've included outfit details. We ended up with way colder weather than anticipated, so I pretty much wore the same jacket and scarf every day! We even had to buy a few sweaters in Austria. Apparently that area had a very warm September and as soon as October hit, the temps dropped big time! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post and feel free to comment below if you have any questions...

This was my travel outfit from Philly to Munich, Germany. I always wear my bulkiest shoes on the plane so they don't take up space in my suitcase. These booties are Vince Camuto and I've had them for a few years. They are so comfy! I also like to wear long sleeves on planes because I always get cold. And of course, it's best to wear your hat so it doesn't get smashed in your suitcase!

Our first stop was Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest. Whether you like beer or not, Oktoberfest is definitely worth experiencing! It is a huge event with multiple tents (you can order drinks/food and there is music entertainment), tons of food stands and restaurants, carnival rides, and more! My favorite part was seeing all the festive outfits (lederhosen) and meeting people from around the world. If you're lucky, you may even spot a celebrity...we saw Arnold Schwarzenegger!
This was my breakfast one morning...a giant fresh baked donut!!
I loved this gorgeous fall tree right outside our Airbnb apartment...most of the trees were still green but this one had completely changed!
