Workwear Wednesday

Today I'm collaborating with several other blogger friends to share how we style workwear!

For a few years, I was a middle and high school music teacher and I had to dress professionally each day. Because of this job and also attending weekly church services, I have SO MANY dress pants and nice tops. I used to wear this sort of outfit all the time! This year I decided to change gears a bit with jobs, so I dress more casually on a regular basis. That being said, I've become a workwear pro and I'm excited to share some of my "typical" workwear clothing with you!
My "go to" workwear includes black dress pants, a nice tank and a blazer. Let's start with this burgundy Lauren Conrad blazer from Kohl's. I think I found this on a sale rack a few years back and since then, I've worn it SO much. Of course I love the color, but I also really like the bunched three quarter length sleeves and the long length. You can shop a similar LC blazer here (port royale color- on sale!).

Kenneth Cole Quilted Down Coat (on sale!) // LOFT Ponte Pant // Gray Sweater from LOFT (out of stock) // Hunter Rain Boots // Ray-Ban Sunglasses // Scarf from Primark // Silpada Earrings // MAC Lipstick (Flat Out Fabulous)

Happy Tuesday!
Thanks to Jonas, we have our first snow of the season! We got 2 feet here in the suburbs of Philly. We were snowed in all weekend and it was so nice to relax and not have to go anywhere. On Sunday, Todd and I had a few friends over who helped plow and shovel us out! We had fun in the snow, watched football and ate pizza and ice cream. Now, back to reality... :-/

I got this Kenneth Cole Quilted Down Coat for Christmas last year and I'm thrilled it's restocked this year at Macy's! Even better, it's marked down to $94.99. It's very warm and I love the length and faux fur trim hood (sorry, it's hard to see the hood in these pics)! I definitely recommend this one if you're looking for a puffer coat. It comes in a bunch of colors, too!

My Hunter Boots seriously came in handy this weekend! They are so easy to slip into and perfect for wet winter weather. I wouldn't wear these for major snow activities, but they're functional and fashionable for wearing out and about. They aren't super warm though, so you do need a thick sock! I love wearing fuzzy socks under mine! :)

I wore my LOFT Ponte Pants and a gray sweater (also LOFT-sold out) under the coat. Lately, I've been living in leggings. They tuck so well into boots and it's always nice to be comfy and stylish at the same time. Am I right!?

All other outfit deets are linked above!
Thanks so much for stopping by...

Winter Hats + SNOW DAY

Shop the Look
LOFT Knit Turtleneck Tunic (only $6.88!), also in stripes (more size options) // LOFT Skinny Jeans, similar // Animal Print Foldover Clutch // Jessica Simpson Fringe Booties, similar // Silpada Necklace // Silpada Earrings // Silpada Cheetah Print Watch // Primark Pom-Pom Beanie  // Steve Madden Burgundy Fedora Hat, similar // Alex & Ani Bangles here and here

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's a SNOW DAY for us...18 inches and counting! After a mostly mild winter, we finally have snow. I"m stuck inside all day and LOVING it. These photos were taken yesterday before the snow madness began...

I clearly love the color red, specifically dark shades of red like burgundy. I have two burgundy hats in different styles, one is a pom-pom beanie and the other a felt fedora hat. Today I'm styling them with the same outfit, and I'm loving both! My pom-pom beanie is from Primark in King of Prussia Mall and it's available online in black. It's only $5! I love how it's extra long making it slouchy in the back. The fedora hat is Steve Madden and it was a steal at T.J. Maxx. Shop Prima Donna has a very similar one for $24.99 and it's available in lots of colors.

I styled the hats with my LOFT Knit Turtleneck Tunic. I first bought this tunic in black and loved it so much that I went back and snagged the burgundy one for $10. It's online for only $6.88 now!!! Unfortunately there is only size xsmall left in the burgundy, but it comes in two striped colors with lots of sizes left (also $6.88). Also, the burgundy color is available in petite sizes here. This turtleneck is so soft and the length is perfect! Plus, can't beat that price. Check out sale racks in stores for more color and size options.

Have a great rest of your weekend...and STAY WARM!

Gray & Port

Today I'm styling the Lush 'Perfect' Roll Tab Sleeve Tunic from Nordstrom again- this time in the port color. If you follow my blog, you'll remember I styled the same tunic in teal a few weeks ago. I showed a dressier way to wear the tunic by keeping it untucked and adding leggings and over the knee boots. If you missed that post, check it out here. Today I'm styling the same tunic, but in a different color (special thanks to my sister for letting me borrow it!) and in a more casual way.

By the way, this tunic is still on sale for $25 (plus free shipping) and available in tons of colors!

Winter White & Faux Fur

Hello! Hope you are having a fabulous start to your weekend...

What do you all think of white jeans in the winter!? I'm really loving this trend. The days of "no white after Labor Day" are long gone! I've always worn white sweaters in the winter, but I'm new to the white denim trend. I like how versatile white jeans can pretty much pair them with any top, from blouses to sweaters to long sleeve tees.

I paired my cropped white skinny jeans with this LOFT Utility Blouse that I purchased in the fall. I've gotten a TON of wear out of it. The material is light and soft and I love the roll tab sleeves. This is the perfect "go to" blouse in my opinion- it can be dressed up or down (and perfect for work wear!). This top comes in several colors and is an extra 40% off right now!

Styling Isotoner Winter Accessories

Since it finally feels like winter around the Philly area, I'm beginning to break out my winter accessories (and maybe buy a few more..LOL). I recently purchased a pair of isotoner smarTouch Fleece Gloves in leopard print. I found mine at Marshalls, but they are available at and on sale for $25.95! I love the stretchy fleece material and the smarTouch touchscreen feature allows for touching your phone screen without taking off the gloves! Check them out- there are a bunch of colors and patterns!

While shopping at Boscov's with my mom last week, we discovered that all isotoner winter accessories were 75% off! She bought a few pairs of gloves, and I snagged this stretch fleece headband that matches my leopard gloves. This headband is so soft and keeps my ears warm without having to fuss with a hat. Don't get me wrong, I do love hats, but they can be a pain sometimes and cause static hair, headaches, etc. A nice alternative is a warm headband to cover the ears and forehead. I couldn't find this headband on Boscov's website but I did find it on for only $5.40!! If you don't like the leopard, there are other colors and patterns available.

Comfy Coatigan and Reversible Tote

Happy Friday!

I'm really excited to share this LOFT Grandpa Coatigan with you all...mostly because of the AMAZING price! Originally $98, this long sweater cardigan is on sale for $28! It's online for $69.99 with an extra 60% off (no code needed). The name "coatigan" is definitely fitting because it's a really thick and cozy cardigan (perfect for cold winter temps!). I love the salmon color and the patch pockets in front! I bought this coatigan last week in stores (also extra 60% off), so check out your nearest LOFT or visit the site

I recently got this Reversible Faux Leather Tote at Nordstrom. I've been eyeing this tote for months and it finally went on sale around the holidays! This carry all tote is reversible and comes with a matching wristlet inside for small items (I use mine for make up). There are many different color options, some on sale for $32 and some regular price ($48). Mine is black/leopard which is unavailable now, but there is a black/cognac one that is very similar! I love how versatile this bag is- great for every day use. And for all you students out there, this tote makes a practical yet stylish school bag!

Winter Fashion: Hunter Rain Boots

Happy New Year!!

I hope you all enjoyed the holidays! It's hard to believe we are in 2016. I'm ready to tackle a new year and see what adventures 2016 will bring!

Now, on to fashion...
LOFT is having MAJOR sales right now. All sale styles are an extra 60% off
This Knit Turtleneck Tunic was $44.50 and is currently marked down to $14! It's so soft and the perfect tunic length. It's also great for layering or dressing up with accessories! All sizes are available and it comes in a few color options!

I accessorized this turtleneck tunic with an oversized scarf and simple monogram necklace. I recently got this BP. scarf from Nordstrom for around $11. I love the tan with a pop of red!
My favorite part of this outfit is my new black Hunter Rain Boots! My mom was shopping at Costco in the fall and noticed a crowd of ladies around the shoe section, She was shocked to find that there were Hunter boots for sale! She bought me this pair for my birthday and got a great deal on them! I've gotten so much use out of these boots already since it's been a rainy winter around here. They will come in handy when it finally snows, too!
You can shop these exact Hunter boots at Nordstrom. For reference, my shoe size is 7.5 and I'm wearing a 7 in these Hunters. They only run in whole sizes, so size down if you are in between!
