Did you all have a good Christmas week? We had a really nice, relaxing time with family! 

If you're still looking for something to wear, today I'm sharing a last minute New Years Eve outfit. This look is perfect for NYE but also for any night out! I'm getting this post up later than I had hoped, but it was a busy week around here! My in-laws spent a few days with us and helped out with projects around the house and painting in the nursery! I'm getting excited to decorate and can't wait to find out the gender. 

Anyway, this lace top from Express is so feminine and pretty! I love the deep red color (of course!) and how the lace detail is shown off by the nude under layer. I had trouble finding this top online, but the all over lace tee is pretty much the same (I may even like it better!). For a feminine meets edgy vibe, I wore my faux leather leggings (extra 60% off!!) from LOFT. Also, I have to mention my new favorite earrings from Hazel & Deene. I got them for Christmas and they are so pretty! I love how the beads add a little glam to the hoops.

The Best Gift Ever

Today Todd and I (and Jax!!) are so excited to share a little secret with you all...we are expecting a baby this spring!!! I still can't believe it and it feels so surreal to be writing this post! We feel very blessed to be on this journey and can't wait to meet our little one. It really is the best Christmas gift ever! :)

I thought it would be fun to do a little Q&A about my pregnancy so far! 

How far along are you? 17 weeks! 

When did you find out? Toward the end of September-1 week before we left for our trip to Central Europe! I was a little anxious going on the trip, but everything turned out fine. Since it was so early in my pregnancy, I wasn't too fatigued or sick. 

How have your symptoms been? Not bad! I am very fortunate that I had minimal morning sickness. I have been a little tired, but not bad at all! Instead of the normal symptoms, I've had two bad colds during my pregnancy and both lasted awhile and were pretty rough. I'm just getting over the second one (and praying it's the last one!). Apparently your body has a tougher time fighting off germs while pregnant...something I never realized before! 

Maternity clothes? Not yet...I've mostly been wearing tunic sweaters and leggings lately. Since my bump is still small, I can wear my normal clothing for now. Fashion is very bump friendly these days with all the over sized sweaters and tunics and leggings!

Any food cravings? Not yet, although I've eaten more soup in last few months than ever before! Maybe that's a craving!? 

Gender? We will find out around 20 weeks...can't wait! 

What do you miss the most? I really missed my normal coffee this fall (a.k.a. pumpkin spice!). I tried to stay away from caffeine during the first trimester. Now, I drink some, but not a lot.

What are you most looking forward to? Finding out the gender and preparing the nursery! And of course, all the adventures ahead when baby arrives!

Styling Camtrade Wedge Booties 2 Ways

Happy Monday before Christmas!

Today I'm teaming up with some of my blogger friends to share various ways to style wedge booties during the winter season! The booties we are wearing are the Secret Celebrity's Keyport Wedge Bootie from Camtrade Footwear. They are stylish, comfy, and so versatile!
For my first look, I paired my wedge booties with a sweater dress and opaque tights. I love this printed sweater dress from Express! Today I thought it would be fun to post a gift guide for stocking stuffers! I don't know about you, but I tend to forget about the stocking and concentrate on the bigger gifts for my family! I always love opening up my stocking on Christmas morning and here are some easy and affordable ideas I think every girl will like. The MAC mini lip gloss kit ($26.25) is the perfect stocking stuffer and it comes in a festive little box! I always love shopping at Bath & Body Works for gifts and they have plenty of small lotions, lip glosses, shower gels, etc. for stockings. Cold weather accessories like beanies, gloves (these come in 10 colors!) and fuzzy socks are also great ideas that everyone can use. And how cute is the Kate Spade leopard iPhone case

Green & White for the Holidays

TGIF! What do you have planned this weekend?? December is such a busy month, but I love it. We have Christmas/birthday parties to attend every day this weekend! Unfortunately, I'm sick with a nasty cold again, so I'm praying I feel well enough to still enjoy everything!

Anyway...on to fashion! I picked up this v-neck pullover sweater at the Nordstrom holiday shopping party last Sunday. It is SO SOFT and the green color is beautiful for the holidays! It's pricier than what I would normally spend on a sweater ($49) but when I tried it on, I fell in love with the quality and style. I love how it falls slightly off the shoulder and the side slits add a fun flare! I'm sure this sweater will go on sale soon, so I'll keep an eye out! FYI- I wore a layering white tank underneath since it's pretty low cut. 
I had originally planned to wear regular jeans but when I laid my white skinny jeans (40% off with code STYLEEVENT) next to this sweater, I just loved the combo!! There is something about hunter green and white that is so crisp and wintery! The white denim definitely brings out the festive hunter green color. White jeans are no longer taboo after Labor Day, so break them out and try them with your favorite sweater!

Comfy Cowl Neck Tunic

Happy Monday, friends!

Today I'm sharing a simple yet stylish neutral winter outfit. I LOVE sweater dresses during the winter months! They are so comfy and perfect to wear with your favorite boots or booties. This cowl neck tunic from LOFT is particularly cozy because of the sweatshirt material! When I saw it in stores and felt the material, I HAD to try it on. It is seriously the softest tunic ever! It looks more like a tunic sweater online than a dress, but I'm pretty sure it's the same one. I'm wearing the charcoal color. For bottoms, I'm wearing my LOFT Seamed Ponte Leggings. These are my absolute favorite leggings!! They are thicker than regular leggings and much more flattering. Right now, they are on sale for $39.50!
I styled this tunic dress with my Ivanka Trump over the knee boots. They are from last season, but Nordstrom has an almost identical pair on sale for $119.90. These OTK boots are so comfortable and make your legs look longer!
This gorgeous off white Kate Spade bag was a birthday gift from mother-in-law! I don't have any white purses, so I was excited to add this to my bag collection. I love the snake skin detail on the straps and down the sides! White bags are usually worn in the spring and summer months, but I think they are unexpected and fun during the winter. It's also a nice contrast against the gray and black in this outfit!

What to Wear to a Holiday Party

Hi friends...happy Thanksgiving Eve! What do you have planned for the holiday? Todd and I are spending a few days with his parents and I'm really looking forward to it! It will be nice to spend time relaxing with family...and eating lots of food, of course!

I love to pair a dress around the holidays with a chic pair of closed toe pumps! These gorgeous burgundy BCBG pumps are the perfect match for this dress. I love the unique cutout detail and rich color. These showstopping heels are a holiday must-have!

Thanksgiving Outfit Idea

Happy Thursday! Can you believe Thanksgiving is only 1 week away!? It came so quickly. I'm ready for the holidays though and looking forward to spending time with family and friends...and for good food, of course! 

Today I'm styling a Thanksgiving outfit idea. The color scheme isn't what I would normally go with for November (I typically wear shades or red and orange this time of year), but I thought blush would be fun for a change! 
This lace trim blush sweater is from the Ann Taylor Outlet. The color and lace detail make it so pretty and feminine! I linked a few similar sweaters below. This is a popular sweater style right now, so there are lots of options out there! 
I have always loved light pink/blush and gray together! Gray is less harsh than black, so it keeps the color palette of this outfit soft and girly. These Halogen over the knee boots are absolutely gorgeous and make your legs look so long! They are currently on sale for $129.90 (30% off) at Nordstrom and come in black and burgundy, too. Poncho Weather

Happy Saturday morning, friends! I'm so happy the weekend is here. Todd is finally home from weeks of traveling for work!! We are mainly doing work around the house this weekend but we are having some friends over later tonight. 

This week the temps were in the 50's and mostly sunny here...AKA sweater poncho weather! A poncho with a long sleeve tee or turtleneck underneath is such an easy fall outfit to throw on and go! I love how ponchos can replace coats in fall before it gets too cold. They are warm and stylish and there are so many adorable styles out right now! I found this fringe poncho on a clearance rack at Marshall's recently. My favorite part is that it has arm holes so it stays put! I linked a few similar ponchos below that I really like...
I was going to wear a long sleeve black tee under the poncho, but at the last minute I went with my burgundy turtleneck from LOFT. I love how this turtleneck pulls out the burgundy in the poncho and adds a little extra warmth! Nordstrom has a very similar layering turtleneck for $39 (comes in a bunch of colors and stripes)!

 My leggings are the LOFT Seamed Ponte Leggings and they are the best! These leggings are thick and comfy and so flattering. They are regularly $49.50 but are currently 40% off! :)
When wearing over sized ponchos, skinny pants or leggings look best for bottoms (helps not to look frumpy). 
For a bag, I carried my Kate Spade crossbody. I'm constantly reaching for this purse because it goes with everything! I kept my bag simple so it didn't distract from the poncho. If you're looking for a black Kate Spade crossbody bag, I recommend this one on Amazon ($119).
