Happy Monday, friends!

I'm not sure what our plans are yet, but I'm on the hunt for a fun outfit. After all, red is my favorite color, so I always welcome an occasion to wear it (ha!).

I'm loving all the items in this collage and they are all under $100! The NARS lip set is beautiful and a GREAT price. Also, the Charles Henry bell sleeve dress is so chic and perfect for V-Day! I have a very similar one I'm wearing to a wedding in a few weeks. Okay, I'll mention one last thing...how amazing are these zip front booties? I think they are so unique and I adore the color (they also come in neutral colors, too).

White Denim & Soft Winter Hues

-SHOP THE LOOK-
SWEATER: Lauren Conrad (Kohl's) // WHITE JEANS: LOFT, similar here + here // OTK BOOTS: Nordstrom, similar here + here // CROSSBODY BAG: Target // BEANIE: Nordstrom (50% off!) // NECKLACE: LOFT Outlet, similar here // RING: Baublebar // HOOPS: Silpada, similar here // LIP LINER: Charlotte Tilbury (iconic nude) // LIPSTICK: MAC (velvet teddy)

TGIF! Any fun plans for the weekend?? We don't have much going on, which is kind of nice. It's been SO ridiculously cold around here...just makes you want to cozy up inside! Todd's birthday is this coming week so next weekend we're going into the city for dinner and a comedy show. Should be fun!

White jeans are unexpected and fun during the wintertime!! I think the key to making white denim appropriate in the winter is by pairing them with a cozy sweater and boots, then add winter accessories like a hat or scarf. I particularly like soft color hues with white for this time of year! My blush sweater is from Kohl's (Lauren Conrad) and on sale for $29.99 (plus get more off with coupons if you have the Kohl's card). Have you guys checked out the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl's? I'm a huge fan! Anyway, I love the feminine tie sleeves on this sweater and it's super soft. It also comes in a mint color which would be really cute with white jeans, too.

I also have to mention this adorable rose gold crossbody bag from Target. I was drawn to the color and subtle snakeskin print. It comes in 6 colors and is the perfect small bag for your essentials. I actually love ALL the colors, especially the boysenberry red and dark teal. It's online for $25 and I've seen it on sale in stores (I think around 50% off).

One last thing...if you're looking for a good dark nude lipstick, give MAC Velvet Teddy a try! I'm obsessed with it for an every day lip color. It's super creamy and not drying at all. I wear it with this lip liner underneath, but it would work well with any nude lip liner you have. Just thought I would share!

All other outfit details are linked above and you can shop them in the widget below, too!

Have a great weekend!!

My New Favorite Beauty Products

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight

1. MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick // $17
I'd heard other bloggers mention this lip color before, but I never tried it until recently. I absolutely LOVE it. It's the perfect darker nude shade and it's super creamy and glides on easily. It's not drying at all. I also really like the scent! FYI, the MAC lipsticks come in a mini version if you just want to try it.

2. MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Finishing Mist // $26
I just added this finishing spray to my make up routine and it really does make a difference! I do feel like my foundation stays put longer throughout the day. I apply a few sprays to my entire face after I'm done my make up. You can also use this mist as a primer!

3. Laura Geller Dramalash Mascara // $24
This mascara is amazing!! I love the thick brush and it really does lengthen the lashes well. Because of skin allergies, I have to use only hypoallergenic eye make up and Laura Geller make up is one of the only brands I can wear. It's pricey though, so I alternate with Physicians Formula mascaras (also hypoallergenic).

4. OPI Feel the Chemis-Tree Nail Polish // $10.50
I'm wearing this polish right now in the gel version (discovered it at the nail salon). It's one of the 2017 holiday colors and it's the prettiest shimmery purple. I usually go with burgundy and gray colors throughout the winter, but this is really fun for a change!

5. Tarte Shape Tape Contour Conealer // $27
I recently bought this concealer after reading lots of great reviews. I'm obsessed! I apply it under my eyes and to cover blemishes and dark spots. I blend it in with this make up sponge. I like that this concealer is pretty thick and offers great coverage, but it's NOT drying or cakey.

6. Neutrogena Make Up Removing Cleansing Towelettes // $4.99
I used baby oil to remove my eye make up for years (works REALLY well but is obviously oily), but in the last year I switched to using these towelettes. I use 1 towelette to remove my eye make up and foundation, then I wash my face. I really feel like I get ALL my make up off by using these towelettes! They come in large packs and also travel size packs for overnight trips.

7. Clinique Quickliner for Lips Intense (Intense Cranberry) // $17.50
This lip liner is such a pretty shade of red. I use it under all my red lipsticks now. I had a red Cover Girl lip liner and it smeared so easily. It's definitely worth spending a little extra on high end brands when it comes to lip liner.

8. Glossier Boy Brow // $16
This brow brush is perfect for those days when you're in a rush or just want minimal make up. This brow product is like a mascara for your brows! It fills your brows in and grooms them. I decided to give this a try after a friend recommended it. I really like it, but I'll be honest, I still prefer Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil. But if you're looking for something quick and easy, give this brush a try. It comes in blond, brown and black.

What are some of your favorite products?? Would love to hear any recommendations!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

2017 Best Nine

Happy New Year!!

Where do I start?! Looking back on 2017, I'm filled with so many emotions! As with any year, there were ups and downs, but it was an extra special year for me and Todd with the birth of our little Logan. It's funny how there can be so many changes in just 12 months. I feel like the year flew by, but at the same time, SO much happened! As for this blog, it's still alive and well, although I've posted much less since Logan was born. I love this blog and will continue to post as much as I can. FYI, I'm more active on Instagram and would LOVE for you to follow me there. If you are on Instagram, you've probably seen all the Best Nine posts on your feed! I thought it would be fun to recap the nine blog posts that had the most views in 2017.

I hope you enjoy taking a look back at 2017 with me...

This was one of my first posts of 2017 and it got a lot of hits. There's nothing fancy about it but it's a cute and comfortable outfit and I got a ton of wear out of this tunic while in my first and second trimesters!

Finding out that our baby was a boy with family and friends was so special!

Collaborating with PinkBlush was a lot of fun and I just LOVE this maternity dress

This was probably my favorite outfit post of the year. I absolutely loved dressing up the bump and this off the shoulder dress is so beautiful (it's actually not maternity!).

This was my most popular bumpdate post. I shared some maternity photos from Little Nest Portraits and talked about the end of my pregnancy. This was 2 weeks before Logan was born!

It was fun collaborating with JORD Watches and doing a giveaway for my readers! They have beautiful wooden watches for men and women.

This is my favorite post of the year (for obvious reasons!). We welcomed our sweet baby Logan and our lives are forever changed. I'm so happy we captured these special moments in the hospital the day after he was born.

This post was really popular!! I had a lot of fun shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and sharing my findings with you all. I always enjoy "shop with me" posts from other bloggers, and apparently you guys do, too!

Last but not least, my post about our newborn session with Little Nest Portraits in Collegeville! These photos turned out better than I could have imagined and I'll always cherish them.

As always, thank you for stopping by my little internet space and for all your support!

Cheers to 2018!
