My Current Make Up Routine

I'm finally getting around to posting my current make up routine and I'm just a little bit excited about it! Ha. I filmed a make up tutorial on my Instagram story that goes along with today's post and I hope you will check it out. It will also be saved to the highlights section on my Instagram feed, so you can refer back to it. I'm sharing a step by step tutorial on there, but I have all the products used in the video linked for you below. They are in the exact order that I use them in the video. Also, I feel like I should point out that on days where I'm just running errands or not going anywhere special, I don't do a full face of make up. I will just do a little foundation, blush and mascara. Since becoming a mom, I often don't have time for my full make up routine!

Feel free to comment on this post if you have any questions, or you can DM me on Instagram!

Let's begin...

FACE

After moisturizing, I apply a pea size amount of this primer all over my face. It's a primer + sunscreen in one! It works really well and is SO affordable.

2. Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector (light to medium)
I actually use this as a color corrector for dark spots. I apply it to acne scars and areas of my face where I have melasma (I have it on my upper lip and forehead) using the Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush. I brush any excess under my eyes and around my nose.

3. Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Longwear Liquid Foundation (shade 3.25)
I love love love this foundation! I just discovered it over the summer and I'm a HUGE fan. It goes on so smoothly and gives you that air brushed look! It's pricey but a little goes a loooong way. I use my Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 Brush and apply the foundation with a combination of circular motions and blotting/pressing.

4. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (fair neutral)
This is the best under eye concealer I've tried! I use my beauty blender (make sure it's damp!) to blend it out and up toward my temples and a little on the sides of my nose. I use any excess on my eyelids, too (acts as a nice eye shadow primer).

5. Too Faced Born This Way Translucent Setting Powder
Next I set my foundation with this powder. I use a damp beauty blender and powder brush to apply this all over my face. Tip: Press the powder into your face instead of using a sweeping or brushing motion. This will help the foundation to stay in place!

6. Hoola Benefit Bronzer
I just started using this bronzer over the summer and I'm really loving it. I use it primarily for light contouring. I don't do much with contouring, but I do sweep this on my cheekbones for definition, along my hairline and sometimes the sides of my nose. I also blend a little down my neck.

7. Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten (tropic hues)
I apply this to the apples of my cheeks and a little on my nose. It's such a beautiful combo of colors and gives a nice glow!

8. Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator (gilded honey)
This is gorgeous highlighter if you want a little extra sun kissed look! I don't use it every day, but when I do I use my beauty blender and dab a little on my cheekbones and tip of my nose.

9. NYX Matte Finish Make Up Setting Spray
I've used a few different setting sprays over the years, but this is my current one. I spray it all over my face to set everything. I think it works pretty well and the price is very good (around $8)! Other setting sprays I really like are MAC Prep + Prime and Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

EYES/BROWS

1. Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil (dark brown)
I've raved about this brow pencil on here before so you all know I LOVE it. It looks so natural and stays put all day!

2. Laura Geller Iconic Downtown Cool Eye Shadows
If you're new around here, I'm limited with what eye products I can wear due to skin sensitivity. That being said, I LOOOVE Laura Geller and I'm SO happy I can tolerate her eye products! Another make up brand that works well for those with sensitivities/allergies is Physicians Formula. Anyway, this is the current eye shadow I'm using and the colors are just SO shimmery and pretty!

3. Laura Geller Dual Dimension Eye Liner
I've been using Laura Geller eye liner for years to line my top lids. I love how easily it glides on and it lasts all day! I'm trying this dual dimension liner for the first time but I'm only using the black end. The liner I typically buy is the calligraphy liquid liner. It was sold out at Ulta when I went to purchase one, so I bought the dual dimension.

4. L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara Primer
Before I apply my mascara, I use 2 coats of this primer. It makes your lashes longer and thicker and it's ONLY $5.19 at Target

5. Laura Geller LashBOSS Mascara (black)
Again, SO thankful I found Laura Geller make up (ha!). I get no allergic reaction to this mascara and I LOVE how well it works! This combined with the L'Oreal primer really make my lashes grow. I go through mascara quickly and this one is pricey, so sometimes I alternate with the Physicians Formula Killer Curves Mascara.

LIPS

1. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner (iconic nude)
This lip liner is the PERFECT nude and I wear it under all my nude lipsticks. It really lasts a long time and glides on SO smoothly

2. MAC Nude Lipstick (velvet teddy)
This lipstick is SO creamy and the smell is amazing. It's such a good 'every day' color

..........................................................................................................................................

And that's it! You can also shop the products by clicking on the photos in the widget at the bottom.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you liked this post! Be sure to check out my Instagram story for the full make up video tutorial (also saved in highlights).

Fall Fashion with JORD Wood Watches + GIVEAWAY

When JORD Watches reached out to me recently, I was thrilled to collaborate with them again! If you've followed my blog for awhile, you may remember that I styled a JORD watch in May 2017 (right before I had Logan!). In case you missed it, you can check it out here. I am so impressed with the quality and uniqueness of these watches, and I'm excited to share another style with you guys today!
Let me start by sharing a bit about the company. JORD makes beautiful watches, crafted by hand from woods all over the world. They offer a variety of styles for both men and women. A special feature they offer is that you can customize most of the watches by getting something special engraved! With the holidays coming up, this is the perfect gift idea.
All JORD watches come in a wooden storage box with the JORD logo. Inside the box is a small pillow to display, house, and protect the watch. There are also drawers in the box where you can store the extra links, cleaning cloth, and wood cleaning oil (all of these come with your watch).
My unique watch is the Zebra and Ivory from the Cassia collection. This watch is a gorgeous accessory that's not only a timepiece but also functions as a piece of jewelry! This is actually a big part of what I look for when watch shopping...is the quality good, is it comfortable, and does it go well with my other jewelry/accessories?? CHECK.CHECK.CHECK. This watch fits all of my criteria! I also love that I can wear it with both casual and dressy outfits.
I never feel completely put together until I have my accessories on! Anyone else?? :) My favorite way to style casual closet basics is by dressing them up with a little gold jewelry. I love the classic white and black face of this watch, but I was particularly drawn to the pretty gold details! This watch compliments my casual fall outfit perfectly.
I'm obviously very happy with my watch choice and can't recommend it enough! If you're looking for a gift to give that 'person who's hard to shop for' (we all know one!), definitely consider a JORD watch.
Now, for the fun part!

GIVEAWAY TIME!
I've teamed up with JORD to give one of you $100 toward a watch of your choice!
One reader will win, but everyone who enters will be e-mailed a 10% off code

The contest will end on November 11th at 11:59pm. The giveaway codes will expire on November 25th. GOOD LUCK!

This post is in partnership with JORD. All opinions are my own.

#NSale Beauty Picks

Hi friends!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to the public, which means you can shop the sale with or without the Nordstrom card. Today I'm sharing my top beauty picks!

1. Drybar The Most Wanderful Waves Set // $165 ($240 Value)
I LOVE Drybar products! I use their dry shampoo and it works wonders on my hair (only have to wash my hair twice a week).

2. T3 Cura Hair Dryer // $134 ($200 Value)
Pricey, but I hear awesome things about this dryer.

3. MAC Nordy Girl Metallic Face & Eye Set // $44.50 ($202 Value)
This is an amaaazing deal! It includes an eye shadow/highlighter palette, mascara and eye liner.

4. Laura Geller INKcredible Eyeliner Set // $29 ($88 Value)
These are my favorite eye liners so I definitely plan to order one of these sets. You get 4 liners- 2 blacks, a brown and a purple.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duo // $28 ($43 Value)
I've raved about Anastasia brow products before on my blog and on my Instagram stories. I use the brow wiz pencil EVERY day. The pencil usually costs $21 so it's a good deal because for $28 you also get the brow gel. The only downside is that they only offer a few shades in this set.

6. Impressions Vanity Co. Touch Trifold XL Dimmable L.E.D. Make Up Mirror // Sale: $58.90 (After Sale: $89)
I NEED this mirror! Since having Logan, I tend to do my make up in various parts of the house (LOL). I could really use a portable stand up mirror like this!

7. Sigma Beauty Brush Duo // $33 ($50 Value)
I just bought this in stores and can't wait to try these foundation brushes. They get raving reviews!!

8. Stila Color Me Classic Set // $20 ($33 Value)
I didn't purchase this because my eyes are sensitive to the eye liner, but I've heard SO many people say Stila is their favorite liquid liner. I have tried the liquid lipstick and LOVE it. My favorite is the color Perla. This shimmery caramel shade looks really pretty, too!

9. Charlotte Tilbury The Pretty Pink Lipstick Set // $60 ($90 Value)
I want this set SO. BADLY...just don't like the price tag (even though it's a good deal for the brand). I have her lipstick in Kim K.W. and liner in Iconic Nude. I'm a huge fan!!

Have you guys purchased any beauty items from the sale?? I would love to hear your favorites!

First Look at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale {Early Access}

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (known as the #NSale on social media) is an annual 3 week sale featuring brand new fall and winter merchandise at discounted prices. Instead of starting at full price, these items are marked down FIRST and then prices go back up after a selected period of time!

What are the dates?
The Early Access Sale is for cardholders and runs from July 12-19. Only Nordstrom debit and credit card holders can shop the sale during this time. It's definitely worth having a Nordstrom credit card because you can shop this sale early and be sure to get your favorite items before they sell out! The sale opens to the public on July 20 and runs through August 5. After that, prices go back up.

What are the most popular items?
The most popular fashion items are boots and booties, scarves, basic tees, cardigans, denim and designer handbags.

What's the best way to shop this sale?
There are definitely advantages to shopping both online and in the store. I like to browse online first to get an idea of what is available and which items I have my eye on BEFORE going to the store. I must admit, it can be overwhelming in stores, especially if you go in without a game plan! A great way to shop the sale online is by visiting your favorite blogs (after all, we do a lot of work to make your shopping easier!). From there, decide which items are your favorites and what you would like to add to your fall and winter wardrobe, then head to your local Nordstrom to try things on! And remember, Nordstrom has free shipping and returns, so grab your favorites before they sell out. You can always return and exchange items later!

This post is BARELY scratching the surface of the sale, but I wanted to get my favorites on here ASAP for you to shop! I'll be heading to Nordstrom today and I'll have a 'try on session' post up tomorrow (follow along on Instagram stories @styleinharmony). I also plan to cover my beauty favorites at some point and I would like to share more handbag options, too.

Okay, without further ado...

Logan's Nursery Reveal

I can't believe it's taken me this long to share Logan's nursery with you all (now that he's 9 months old, ha)! We finished most of it before Logan was born (which I highly recommend doing...no time after baby arrives!), but I had a few things to add to the wall decor before it was completed. My original plan for his nursery was to use a gray/white/aqua color scheme and elephant theme. The very first thing I purchased was the elephant/balloon canvas print above the dresser (from HomeGoods). I sort of based the whole room off of it! I ended up adding some more color and jungle animals with the bedding we chose. I had a hard time finding a bedding set that I loved, until I saw this Levtex Baby Zambezi one at Babies "R" Us! It had the gray and aqua colors I wanted, as well as elephants, and I thought the arrows were really cute. From there, the room started coming together! For doing it by myself (with help from Todd/other family), I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm no interior designer and while I consider myself to have an eye for fashion, I'm not great with home decorating/designing. I really admire people who are!!

I've linked everything that's available below or shared where it's from. If you have any questions, comment or send me an e-mail! Needless to say, Logan's bedroom is my favorite room in the house! :)

How I Whiten My Teeth At Home

Good morning, friends!

Today I'm excited to share my recent teeth whitening experience with you all! One of the first things I notice about people is their smile. I have always tried to take good care of my teeth, and throughout high school (post braces) and college, I was always pretty confident about my smile. I often had people comment on how white my teeth were and I took pride in that! That confidence has changed in the last few years, though...
It's hard to believe, but I didn't start drinking coffee until I was in graduate school (I know, right!?). My love for coffee since then has definitely taken a toll on my teeth. I've tried Crest Whitening Strips a few times, but never saw much of a difference. I got a professional whitening treatment done right before my wedding (5 years ago), and I was happy with the results, but I haven't whitened since then...well, until Smile Brilliant.
When Smile Brilliant reached out to me, I was thrilled to give their products a try! They provide dentist grade teeth whitening products for less than $200. This at-home teeth whitening kit is sent right to your front door! Being a new mom, this was a HUGE plus for me. I was really impressed with how easy the whole process was! First, Smile Brilliant sent me the molds to create my custom-fit whitening trays. I created the molds (they send easy to follow step-by-step instructions) and mailed them back in the provided envelope. I received my custom-fit trays about a week later and began the whitening process.
The best time to whiten is right before bed, since you aren't supposed to eat or drink afterward. You can wear the trays anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours. I would usually keep them in for about an hour. During that time, I went about my normal evening routine, such as dinner clean up, putting Logan to bed, watching TV, etc. I whitened for 10 days and plan to continue to use the trays as needed (I still have leftover whitening gel).
If you're interested in trying this product but have sensitive teeth and gums, Smile Brilliant has you covered! Along with the whitening gel, they send a desensitizing gel. After you finish whitening, just rinse your trays and apply the desensitizing gel. Wear your trays for another 15-20 minutes. I used the desensitizing gel a few times but then tried whitening without it. I ended up not having any sensitivities and didn't need it going forward.

I'm pretty pleased with my results so far and I plan to continue to use my trays as needed. Let me know if you guys give Smile Brilliant a try...I would love to see your results, too! Also, scroll to the bottom for exciting giveaway details.
