Spring/Summer Shoe Must Haves

Today I'm featuring the hottest shoe trends of the season. There are so many different shoes styles out right now, but I've rounded up four styles that are all the rage this spring/summer.

Happy shopping!

1. LACE-UPS
Lace-ups are everywhere and come in flats, sandals, and heels, both closed toe and open toe! I don't own a pair yet, but I've been shopping around and really like these ones...

Target // $24.99
Such a great price and I LOVE the pink color (also come in black and gray).

These are amazing, but definitely a splurge!

Affordable and available in black. Payless has really stepped it up this year with a wide variety of cute styles!

Kohl's // $49.99
Trendy and comfy!

For more lace-ups, check out DSW...they have SO MANY styles at various price ranges!

Off the Shoulder Trend

Happy Easter Weekend!
What are your Easter plans? Todd and I are spending the weekend with his parents and I'll be singing at their church on Sunday morning. I'm looking forward to it!

Off the shoulder tops and dresses are a HUGE trend this year. I think the style is really fun so I decided to give it a try (it's stepping out for me!). I just love hot pink for spring and summer and I recently found this top on sale at Le Boutique Shop. The color is gorgeous and I love the flowy sleeves. It sold out fast, but I found an almost identical one here ($28). Le Boutique Shop has the cutest clothing and accessories. It's also a Christian company, which I love! Check out this tee featuring my favorite bible verse, Philippians 4:13
This gold statement necklace is also from Le Boutique Shop. When I bought the hot pink off the shoulder top, I knew their Juliette Necklace would look perfect with it. A strapless top looks great with a necklace that hits the middle of the chest. This necklace is affordable, too ($24.99)!

Styling Rain Boots for Spring

Today I've teamed up with some fashionable blogger friends to share ways to style rain boots for spring!

You can visit them here:

We usually get a lot of spring rain around here, so a good pair of rain boots is a must! I got these black Hunter Rain Boots in the fall and I really have gotten SO MUCH wear out of them. Hunter Rain Boots come in many colors and sizes and you have the option of glossy or matte. I went with the black matte so they match everything, but if I ever get another pair, I'm going for the red! For reference, I'm usually a 7.5 shoe size and I'm wearing a 7 in these (they only have half sizes).
I kept this spring outfit casual by wearing a lightweight long sleeve tee and a utility vest over top. I've had my eye on olive utility vests for awhile and I finally found the perfect, affordable one at Kohl's! This Mudd Utility Vest comes in olive and ebony and is on sale for $32.99! Plus, if you are a regular Kohl's shopper (like me) then you know to shop with coupons and get an extra percentage off! If you sign up for the Kohl's charge card, you get coupons for up to 30% off in the mail.

Anyway, this vest is perfect for spring. It's light, comfy, and stylish. I love that it zips and buttons in the front and it comes with a hood so you'll be ready for those rainy days! I also really like the cinched waist...gives you a little shape and is very flattering!

Spring Shirt Dress

Well, it's officially spring this Sunday! We are having pretty dreary weather around here this week, as you can see in these photos. It finally stopped raining today, though! :) I'm going to try to get out and take Jax on a walk!

With spring and Easter right around the corner, this gorgeous lapis shirt dress makes the perfect wardrobe addition. I recently found it on sale at LOFT and they have it online in all sizes for an extra 40% off (comes to $38.93)! I love the color lapis for spring and the long sleeves make this dress a great transitional piece. You could wear it for Easter Sunday, bridal or baby showers, wedding rehearsals, date night, to a show, and more! So. many. options.
I styled this shirt dress with and without a scarf and I love both options! I recently received this Vera Bradley fringe scarf as a gift. It's sooo soft and lightweight and the floral/cheetah print is super fun! I like the dress worn alone, but accessorizing with a scarf definitely adds some flair to the look. The floral print gives it a "spring vibe", too!

Mint & White {Early Spring Style}

Who is ready for SPRING!? Yesterday was 70 degrees here in the Philly area and today is going up to 79! These are really warm temps for this time of year. While I'm sure it won't last, it makes me excited for the spring season...and spring fashion!

Today's outfit is the perfect transitional look from winter to spring. At the beginning of spring, we pack away our sweaters but it isn't quite warm enough for short sleeve shirts and shorts or skirts. The solution is a lightweight, long sleeve blouse in a fun, bright spring color and a good pair of skinny jeans! I LOVE this mint portofino shirt from Express, which is a classic button down that never goes out of style. It comes in so many vibrant colors and is currently buy 1, get 1 50% off! The sleeves on this blouse can be worn long or rolled to three quarter length like I did in today's photos.
I love pairing spring/summer colors like mint and coral with white denim. It's so crisp and chic! I recently bought these white modern skinny jeans from LOFT and I'm sure I'll be wearing them on repeat in the months to come. For reference, I am 5'4" and wearing a petite size so the length stops at the ankles. Also, all jeans at LOFT are $20 off right now
To add a fun pattern to this outfit, I wore my Sam Edelman leopard pumps. You all know I love leopard and these heels look great with ankle jeans.

Denim with a Pop of Color

TGIF!

It's been a busy week around here... I am vocally directing the musical production of Aladdin at a local school and the opening show is TONIGHT. I'm so proud of all the kids and excited for the performances! What are your plans for this weekend?

This denim on denim look is effortless and easy to throw together. For a contrast in denim shades, I paired my light chambray shirt from Charlotte Russe with dark skinny jeans (LOFT, similar option linked below).

From there, I just added my Jessica Simpson fringe booties (similar here) and some fun statement accessories...
I just purchased these Baublebar statement earrings during the semi-annual sale. Apparently they were really popular, because I can't find them on the site now! Grr. I'm sure Baublebar will restock them, and I'll let you know when. These earrings are unique and fun...the bright red/orange color is perfect for spring and summer! They have two VERY similar pairs available here and here (love these!).
