Jumping into Fall Fashion

I really can't believe it is the last week of summer and I am posting on fall clothing! Good thing there are some seriously cute fall trends this year. Oh, and pumpkin spice coffee is back pretty much everywhere...yes!

LOFT is having a major sale right now- 50% off select full price and sale items! I decided to check it out and came home with these olive green pants and silky white shirt. Olive/hunter green is one of the hottest colors of this fall. I am seeing it everywhere and it has really grown on me! I'm loving how the color looks in these skinny jeans. Unfortunately they are no longer online, but you may be able to find them still at LOFT stores. I linked a few similar options below. The white shirt is available online (50% off!!) and I definitely recommend it. It's a dressy ribbed tee with a long drapey back-perfect for work or school and can be dressed up or down.

My "go to" shoes in the fall are flats and booties. These scalloped Lauren Conrad flats (at Kohl's) are adorable and come in several colors. Mine are in the wine color, which is another very popular color of the fall season. I also love them in blush! And did I mention they are 50% off, making them $24.99?! You're welcome :)

This antique gold/pearl bib is one of the best selling Baublebar necklaces. It instantly adds glam to a simple shirt. It was just recently marked down and quickly sold out! If you like it, keep checking the website, they should restock it soon!

What are your favorite fall trends?

Thanks for stopping by.

Thursday Beauty Favorites

bareMinerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor

Today's Thursday Beauty Favorites post is on this pretty amazing lipstick from bareMinerals that definitely lives up to it's name!

Here's why...

This smooth liquid lipstick acts as a liner, color and gloss all in one. The colors are rich and shiny and I was pleasantly surprised at how long they last! The applicator is just like a lip gloss and makes it easy to apply along the curves of the lips.

I own 3 Pretty Amazing Lipcolors- Bravado, Fearless, and Witty-and love them all! I probably get the most wear out of Bravado, which is a brick rose color (looks the most natural). Fearless is a subtle mauve color and Witty is a bright and bold purple. There are several colors to choose from on bareescentuals.com- so check them out!

My Collection

brick rose color / day or evening wear

rosy mauve / great for every day use

vibrant and bold purple / perfect for night out or special event

The Romper and Fringe Trends

I wore this on Saturday evening for a night out in the Philadelphia for my brother's 22nd birthday. This dressy and chic romper was the perfect outfit choice for the occasion. It is the only romper I own, mainly because it took me awhile to find the perfect one. While I am loving the current romper trend, I couldn't find one I liked on me. When I saw this black silky sleeveless shorts romper at Loft Outlet, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! I love the design of this romper- it is elegant and classy. The short shorts are balanced out nicely by the high neckline, which allows for the perfect statement necklace! And, it has pockets!! Here is an almost identical version at Loft.

Also trending are fringe accessories (everything from purses to shoes to jewelry). I recently got this fringe statement necklace from Baublebar.com and I love it. Do you receive e-mails from Baublebar? If not, you should sign up on their website ASAP! They send updates on their newest products, but more importantly, they notify you about the latest "Buried Bauble." The Buried Bauble is an item from the site that they mark down (major sale!) for 24 hours- a.k.a. the best time to buy! This necklace recently was featured as a Buried Bauble and I snagged it!

In other news, my leopard obsession continues! These Sam Edelman pumps are a great fall shoe and go with everything. After all, leopard is a neutral right? They are the perfect year round heel and can be worn with dresses, shorts, or pants!

Hope you have a great last week of August! Stay tuned for some upcoming fall trends!

Thursday Beauty Favorites

Hi everyone!

The product I am sharing with you today is one I have used DAILY since college. It is essential for my everyday routine and I take it with me everywhere (perfect size to fit in your purse!).

I'm talking about Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets.

I discovered these oil removing sheets from a friend when I was in college. Before using these, I would apply powder (using a powder compact) when my skin was oily throughout the day. This is quite gross because I was constantly getting oil on my powder puff and then reusing it. Ew!

The solution is these soft, silky oil absorbing sheets.
These small packs contain 50 sheets that easily remove excess oil from your face. They work very well and do not smudge or remove make up.

To use, simply blot/dab the sheet on the oily spots of your face. DO NOT RUB OR WIPE! The sheets will absorb the excess oil and become transparent.

One pack costs anywhere from $4-$6. You can find them at your local grocery store or pharmacy in the face wash section. Most pharmacies (like CVS) have a store version that is a little cheaper, but work just as well. I try to buy them when they are on sale so keep an eye out for a deal (such as buy 1 get 1 50% off).

Here are a few places to find them:

I highly recommend this product! If you give them a try, let me know what you think!

Have a good weekend!

Styling Summer Dresses in the Fall

Happy Wednesday! Can't believe we are half way through this week already...

With fall quickly approaching, you may have a favorite summer dress that you aren't ready to pack up...
Or maybe you didn't get to wear it as much as you wanted this summer.

Here are a few ways to style a summer dress into the fall season...

Let's start with a simple tank top dress that is perfect to transition into the fall (and super comfy!). Any dress you have in your closet will work, solid or print (although I find a solid colored dress easier to accessorize, especially if you add prints with a purse or shoes). Pair it with a long necklace like this gold tassel Baublebar one.

Add a denim jacket for cool days/evenings...You probably have one in your closet but in case you don't, here are a few I like: Old Navy // Loft  (extra 40% off right now!) // Target

Closed toe flats are a "go to"shoe for the fall season. I chose leopard flats and a leopard crossbody bag for this look. Any purse and flats you have will work!
Here are some similar versions to mine: Crossbody bag here (cute and affordable!) // Leopard Flats here (save) and here (splurge)

Add a floppy felt hat (very trendy right now and great for fall) like these: Nordstrom // Forever 21

Dress it up with a white jean jacket and open toe heel booties (perfect for fall!) Change up your necklace for a different look with this Baublebar collar.
White Jacket: Old Navy, Loft, Kohl's (all on sale!) // Black Booties: Kohl's (adorable and on sale!), Nordstrom Rack

Thanks for reading and I hope I've inspired you with some style ideas!

Mornings with "Life is Good"

Happy Friday everyone!

I am excited to share this Life is Good "You Me & Coffee" matching shirt and mug with you all! I purchased this set in Westport, Canada last month at a Life is Good store. Life is Good sells fashion and accessories for men, women, and children! I have a few shirts and Todd has several t-shirts that he wears often (especially the ones with a dog who resembles Jax!). Since I am a coffee lover, I had to have this adorable & comfy shirt which is marketed as a sleep shirt, but I think can be worn at any time! And how cute is it that there's a matching mug to enjoy your morning coffee in?! Even better, this shirt is on major sale right now, so it is the perfect time to get it! I paired this shirt with soft, black linen shorts from the Loft. I linked a similar and super affordable pair below.

Have you ever heard of Thirty-One? They are a Christian founded company offering women the opportunity to own their own business. They have the cutest monogram purses, totes, lunch bags, jewelry/make up bags, and pretty much everything you can imagine. There are a variety of colors and patterns to choose from and everything can be personalized. And, they recently added a jewelry line! My friend is a thirty-one consultant and director and I purchased this two toned cross necklace from her. I have been wearing it constantly! Check out their website and if you are interested in any of the products, comment below and I will put you in contact with her.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Thursday Beauty Favorites

Starting today, I will be sharing one of my favorite beauty products with you every Thursday. In these posts, I will review a favorite product of mine, varying from make up to skin and hair care!

Lets begin with...

Laura Geller Calligraphy Trio Liquid Liner Kit

I get asked about my eye liner quite often...I have even been stopped by a complete stranger!
The answer is Laura Gellar Liquid Eyeliner

I was in the market for a liquid eyeliner pen earlier this year and discovered this set at Ulta. Let's just say, I'm obsessed. There are 3 liners in a pack- Classic, Fine and Slanted- each with a different "marker" tip. I use these eyeliners on my upper lash line on a daily basis! They glide on smoothly, are easy to use and are long-lasting! I apply my liner in the morning and it stays put throughout the day into the evening!

The classic tip creates the perfect natural line and I get the most wear out of this pen. For a thinner line (great for daytime use), try the fine tip. Make sure to apply the liner as close to the lash line as possible! The slanted tip is great for bold and daring cat eye looks. I encourage you to give these liners a try, even if they are out of your comfort zone! The "pen" style really makes it easy.

Wait, there's more!
These liners are hypoallergenic (FYI, I wear all hypoallergenic eye make up due to allergies), which is why I purchased them in the first place. A must for everyone out there with sensitive eyes! :)

Get yours here, here, or at your local Ulta.

Have a great day!
