Spring Geometric Maternity Dress

-SHOP THE LOOK-
DRESS: Kohl's (on sale for $41.99!) // HEELS: Kohl's (on sale for $39.99) // TOTE: Kate Spade // BRACELET CUFF: Hazel & Deene // EARRINGS: Hazel & Deene // NECKLACE: Nordstrom Rack (LOVE- only $9.97) // SUNNIES: Le Specs // WATCH: Fossil // LIP COLOR: Urban Decay Liner + Lipstick

Good morning! I'm getting this post up a little late today...currently sitting at Toyota getting my vehicle inspected (trying to get all these things done before baby!).

Today I'm styling another maternity dress, this time from Kohl's. I've featured a lot of maternity wear from Target so I thought I would check out a different store to share some new pieces. Kohl's has a small maternity section, but some really cute pieces! I found this geometric hankerchief hem dress in stores, but it's also online and it's on sale for $41.99. I like this dress because the geometric pattern combined with the hankerchief hem is so unique! It's also a great (not too casual, not too fancy) dress for many spring/summer occasions. It's also really lightweight! I have a bridal shower to go to in 2 weeks and this would be perfect. For reference, I'm wearing an x-small, so it definitely runs big.

I paired this dress with gray lace-up heels (also from Kohl's). Lace-ups are all the rage again this spring and these are actually pretty comfy! Plus, most sizes are on sale for $39.99 right now!! There are lots of options for shoes to go with this dress, but I would definitely stick with a heel because of the midi length (flats make legs look shorter). Side note: I'm pretty surprised at the shoe choice shown with the dress on Kohl's site. LOL!

Casual Spring Outfit with Motherhood Maternity

-SHOP THE LOOK-
TOP: Motherhood Maternity // JEANS: Motherhood Maternity, similar // BAG: Michael Kors // WEDGES: Nordstrom, almost exact here // NECKLACE: Nordstrom Rack // EARRINGS: Hazel & Deene // BANGLES: Alex & Ani here and here, Wind & Fire here (has the cutest baby blue shoe charm and makes a great gift for someone expecting!)

TGIF!
What do you all have planned for the weekend?? We don't have too much going on (which is really nice). Todd has a very busy work schedule for the next few weeks so he will be working all day Saturday. I have brunch plans with friends and otherwise I'll be doing baby things around the house! Sunday is pretty low key, too...church and getting things done in the nursery! I can't believe baby DeWire's due date is in 6 weeks. SO much to do!

I have another maternity look for you all today. My top and jeans are both from Motherhood Maternity, but this outfit can be easily recreated with non maternity clothing! I found both this side ruched elbow sleeve tee (I'm only seeing black and white online) and distressed over the belly jeans (similar here) in stores on the sale racks. Both are so comfy and stylish! I love how there is trendy distressed denim out there in maternity wear. Other good places to shop for maternity denim is ASOS (FYI, their jeans run small) and Target. I also hear great things about H&M.

I kept my accessories and shoes neutral for this outfit. I think olive green is so pretty with neutral colors and gold jewelry! I wanted to share this adorable layering necklace with you all...it's available at Nordstrom Rack and only $9.99! I love statement jewelry but I prefer simple jewelry for every day wear. This 3-row layered necklace is so cute and goes with everything! All other details are linked above and in the widget below.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

My Pregnancy Wardrobe Must Haves

Today I thought it would be fun (and hopefully helpful) to share some maternity wardrobe items that I've loved during my pregnancy so far. I definitely found it helpful to read other blogs or get recommendations from friends! The great thing is that maternity clothing is actually cute and trendy these days. I've found some stylish items that are really comfy, affordable and practical! If you're expecting, I hope you enjoy this post and get some ideas (if not, maybe you know someone you could pass the info along to!)...

1. LIZ LANGE MATERNITY TEE DRESSES
The Liz Lange maternity tee dresses are SO comfy and flattering! I love the body con style and the ruched sides allow room for belly growth so you can wear them all through pregnancy. I have the three quarter length green one pictured above (similar here), this striped short sleeve dress (photo on the right) and this tank dress (in gray). Now that spring is here, I'll be getting a ton of wear out of these dresses. I've linked a bunch of others below for you to shop!

2. OVER THE BELLY MATERNITY ANKLE JEANS
I've bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans during my pregnancy. It took me some time to find a few pairs that fit well. When you are in the awkward bump stage (where you look like you had one too many tacos), maternity jeans just don't fit right. Everyone grows at different rates, but once I was well into my second trimester I was able to shop for maternity jeans successfully! Target has a limited selection in stores but lots of options online. I found these distressed ankle skinny jeans in stores and I love them! The over the belly elastic band is both comfortable and supportive. The distressed denim is stylish and makes you feel like you're in regular jeans! My only complaint is that I wish the belly band was nude instead of navy. For reference, I'm wearing size xsmall.

 3. ASOS MATERNITY DRESSES
ASOS has been my 'go to' site for all my special occasion maternity dresses! I've had such good luck ordering from them and loved all 3 dresses I've purchased. It can be tough ordering online (epsecially maternity clothes), but I read reviews and it's helpful that they tell you what size the model is wearing. The models on their sites are wearing a size 4. Keep in mind, this means that the ASOS dresses run a little small (models are typically in a 2). I've ordered a 6 in my dresses and they've been a perfect fit. These dresses are great quality and super affordable! I also love how they are constantly updating the site with new styles to shop. I bought this ruffle heart dress for Valentine's Day and this navy skater dress for my baby shower (both are on sale!).
4. BLACK MATERNITY PONTE PANTS
A pair of black ponte pants are a wardrobe must have! I wear my LOFT pairs all the time (both regular and faux leather), so I knew I wanted to find a comparable maternity pair. I found these under the belly ponte pants in stores at Target. It took some time for my belly to grow into them, but they are comfortable and perfect for workwear, church, or a night out! I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a dressy maternity pant.

5. TARGET MATERNITY V-NECK TEE
I have literally been LIVING in these Liz Lange v-neck tees from Target! A few months ago, I bought a black one and the striped one in the above left photo. I wash them and wear them several times a week, so I went to Target last week and got the gray one (above right photo) and this hot pink one. I can't rave enough about these tees!! Since my week days are casual, I've basically just been rotating through them. They are cute worn alone or great for layering. They are all available in stores right now and only $14.99!

6. COMFY FASHION SNEAKERS

Once I started experiencing an achy back and ankles, I knew it was time to invest in some comfortable and supportive sneakers! A few months ago I bought these white Adidas Neo Advantage sneakers at Boscovs (available here and here). I love these sneakers because the comfort level is great and they look good with jeans, leggings, dresses and more (I styled them with my striped tee dress in this post). I also bought these light bone/bronze Nike sneakers before we went to Nashville. They are super supportive, great for walking and I love the metallic bronze color. I receive so many compliments on these stylish sneaks! I've linked more for you to shop in the widget below...

I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great Thursday!

$25 Easter Maternity Dress

Happy Easter Weekend!

What are your weekend plans? I'm looking forward to spending time with family and friends and going to church and brunch on Sunday. The weather here is beautiful this week, which is usually not the case on Easter! This weekend I'm reflecting on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's easy to get caught up in our busy lives, but so important to stop and remember what Christ did for us. He bore our sins on the cross so we can live eternally with Him! #sothankful
Today I have a last minute Easter outfit to share with you all! If you're expecting and just not sure what to wear on Sunday (I get it...the struggle is real at this point), this cute + comfy maternity dress from Target is perfect for the occasion (online and in stores...only $24.99!). The periwinkle color is so pretty for Easter and other spring events and I love that you can dress it up or down! To style this dress for Easter, I dressed it up with strappy sandals and a light pink satchel. If it's chilly, I would throw on a white cardigan sweater or blazer!
This adorable perforated satchel is also from Target and I purchased it a year ago. Blush and light pink bags are huge again this year, as well as the perforated style! Periwinkle and light pink are a chic and feminine springtime color combo. Kohl's has a very similar satchel by Jennifer Lopez (on sale for $52.32 with code BUYQUICK) or if you're in the market for a designer bag, this Kate Spade is GORGEOUS and this Henri Bendel is on major sale.
For shoes, I went with my Nine West nude strappy sandals (similar here and here). Nude heels go with pretty much everything so they are definitely one of those wardrobe must-haves! I really like how nude looks with this blue/pink combo, but white shoes would work, too. BTW, you should have seen my feet after these photos were taken! #sausagefeet (my heel days are gone until after baby comes! LOL)
I accessorized with gold jewelry and my Le Specs tortoise/chambray sunglasses (love!). My blue drop earrings are from LOFT and are no longer online (meh) but any gold earrings work well with this dress. I'm loving layered gold necklaces lately and this one is from Baublebar. They have similar versions here ($36) and here ($16.99, Sugarfix by Baublebar).

My Favorite Lip Colors for Spring & Summer

Today I thought it would be fun to share and review my current favorite lip colors for this spring and summer! Since there are SO MANY lipsticks, liners and glosses on the market, it can be really overwhelming. Lately, instead of buying tons of random lip products, I've bought a few liner/lipstick sets in different shades that have become my 'go to' products. For the spring and summer seasons, I love to have bright purple, hot pink (or a lighter pink) and nude lip colors to rotate through depending on my outfit, agenda, day vs. night, etc. High end lip products are pricey, but if you invest in just a few sets in different colors that you love and wear often, it's much more cost efficient than having waaay too many lip colors! Of course, I have a ton of lip products myself, but I find that I end up wearing only a handful of them over and over.
From left to right:
MAC Lip Pencil in Heroine ($17.50) + MAC Lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous ($17)

Here are my current favorite lip products in bright purple, nude and hot pink. I'm going to take you through each one and review them!
The first set is MAC lip pencil in Heroine and lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous. I actually purchased this set last summer during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It's very easy to apply, doesn't bleed and lasts SO LONG! I personally LOVE this bright and vibrant shade of purple (so fun for summertime). MAC carries some of my favorite lip products and never disappoints! This lipstick is matte (pigment rich with no shine) but they have several other finishes to pick from, too (creamy, satin, etc). If you want to add some shine to a matte lipstick, just put a little gloss over top! FYI, this liner and lipstick have different color names, but they are pretty much an exact match. You can try this set on at your local MAC store or Nordstrom.
Here's a look at the MAC lip set on me. This photo was taken last summer and I think the bright purple lip color is really fun and unexpected with the orange dress! Check out the full blog post here.
This Charlotte Tilbury nude lip set is absolutely gorgeous. They are long lasting and I love the creaminess and scent of the lipstick (Kim K.W). It's definitely on the pricier side, but if you are looking for a great nude combo to wear regularly, it's worth it! The lip pencil color (Iconic Nude) is a little darker than the lipstick but I like this because it creates more definition of the lips. The lip pencil is a beautiful nude if you are looking for a good liner to pair with various nude lipsticks. Also, If you aren't a lip liner person, this lipstick is really pretty alone! To see how these shades would look on you, head to your local Nordstrom and test them out.
Here's a recent photo of me wearing the Charlotte Tilbury lip set (full blog post here)...
The Urban Decay glide-on lip pencil and vice lipstick is my newest lip set. I wanted a long wearing hot pink color for spring/summer and to wear to my baby showers. I went into Ulta to see what they had and Urban Decay was recommended to me by one of the employees. We tried a few different shades/combos and I ended up loving the PDA liner with Crush lipstick! Like the nude, these shades are not an exact match. The PDA liner is more of a medium bright pink while the lipstick is definitely hot pink. I like this better than hot pink on hot pink (can be a little intense). Also, if you want to dull down the brightness a bit, apply a small about of lipstick and blot very well! I have nothing but positive reviews on this lip set...they are SO long lasting and beautiful. I wore the combo for HOURS at my baby shower and it didn't budge (even with eating and drinking!)! I've also received many compliments and questions on this lip set. Overall, it's a must have! :)
This is a good close up of the Urban Decay set (get the full outfit details here).
And here's one more look at these beauties!!
