July 4th Fashion Favorites

It's hard to believe it's July next week! It feels like yesterday that Logan was born and now he is almost 3 weeks old. June has seriously flown by! What do you all have planned for the 4th? We don't have plans yet, but I'm hoping to watch some fireworks somewhere!

It's always fun to dress in patriotic colors and July 4th is the perfect opportunity! Red has always been my favorite color, but lately I've been loving all things blue, too! The chambray trend continues this season and ruffles are EVERYWHERE. The ruffle off the shoulder dress and tank pictured above are SO adorable! I've rounded up a bunch of items for you all to shop and most should arrive in time for the 4th if you place your order soon. The photos below are clickable and take you right to the site!

UPDATE: All LOFT items are now 50% off with code SPARKLER!

Have a great day!

Happy Friday!
I can't believe June is almost over! The past few weeks have flown by...Logan was 2 weeks old on Wednesday! He's growing fast and is more than a pound over his birth weight! On Tuesday evening we got out of the house to go to dinner and take these photos. It was a gorgeous evening and we sat outside to eat. Logan did really well!

This cold shoulder knit tee is perfect for every day wear! It comes in several fun colors and is on sale for $23.40 (plus free shipping). I just love the bright green color for summertime! I can't wait to pair it with my white skinny jeans and white denim shorts when they fit again (LOL). I do like how it looks with the distressed denim I'm wearing, but bright colors with white is my favorite summer combo. The over sized fit of this top makes it great for postpartum and also would work for moms-to-be in the first part of pregnancy. For reference, I'm wearing a small.

This triple charm initial pendant necklace from Nordstrom is my new favorite! I love monogram jewelry and this one is unique with the three charms. It was marked down to $19.49 during the Half Yearly Sale and stayed on sale ever since. It comes in silver and gold and there are only certain initials left, so hurry before it sells out! I chose an "L" for Logan!

All other outfit details are linked above and in the widget below.
Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Logan Reid!

LOGAN REID DEWIRE // JUNE 7, 2017 AT 7:15PM // 6LBS 9OZ 20"

Birth Day:
We've decided not to share a full birth story (like many bloggers do), but I will share a few details from the day. It's actually pretty comical at the beginning! Logan was born at exactly 41 weeks, so a week late. I was trying many things to induce labor and that morning I had an acupuncture appointment scheduled. I've never done acupuncture before but apparently it can be very effective for inducing labor. I'll never know though because I didn't make it! I got to my appointment, stepped out of my car, and my water broke! Since I was closer to the hospital than to my house, I called my OB and drove myself over to the hospital. I called Todd, he left work and headed home to get our hospital bags. My mom met him at our house and I told them over the phone what to throw in our bags last minute! They met me at the hospital (with WAY too much stuff LOL) where I was already set up in our labor and delivery room. We just had to laugh at the fact that I drove myself an hour from home while 41 weeks pregnant and then took myself to the hospital. I wasn't having contractions yet, so I was able to drive safely! I started pitocin around 10:30am and Logan was born at 7:15pm. The day actually went by pretty fast. My mom and Todd were with me and then my sister came after work. It was special to have them there for Logan's birth. The rest of our immediate family met him shortly after he was born.

His Name:
Logan Reid was actually a last minute decision! Logan was not on our list of potential names until a week before he was born. We had pretty much narrowed it down to one name and then Todd thought of Logan. It took me some time to wrap my head around the name since I thought we were going with something else! After he was born, I kept looking at him and Logan just seemed to fit. It took us a whole 24 hours to announce his birth because he didn't have an official name and I was being indecisive! Ha. We came up with his middle name in the hospital. I've always liked the name Reid and it flows nicely with Logan!

Life at Home:
Overall, we've been adjusting pretty well so far. We are blessed to have family nearby and have had a lot of help from both of our parents. Also, Todd is home from work for a few weeks which has been very nice! We've mostly been home over the past week and a half but have ventured out a few times for pediatrician appointments, lunch, etc. It's hard to do much at this point since newborns eat so often and constantly need diaper changes! Also, Logan's not on a set feeding/sleeping schedule yet since he's so young, which makes things unpredictable from day to day. Right now, I'm trying to sleep when I can and enjoy all the baby snuggles! Also, for those interested, Jax is doing REALLY well with Logan. He honestly doesn't know what to make of him and just stays away! I was nervous that Jax would be jealous of Logan, but so far he hasn't been that way and I'm thankful.

Thank you SO MUCH for all the congratulations, love and support! God has truly blessed us with little Logan!
Children are a gift from God.

Modern Baby Product Round Up

Happy Tuesday!
Did you all have a good Memorial Day Weekend?? Ours was pretty relaxing, which was exactly what we needed! :)

In today's post I'm sharing some modern baby products we've received from various companies. I am very impressed by each of these products and can't wait to try them out when Baby DeWire arrives! In the meantime, I thought I would tell you a little bit about them and hopefully give you some ideas if you're expecting or looking for gifts for someone you know...
DockATot Deluxe + Dock- Silver Lining
The DockATot is a multi-functional lounger, co-sleeper and playtime lounger. It gets amazing reviews for helping babies sleep more soundly in a snug and womb-like environment. The DocATots are lightweight and portable which makes them easy to move from room to room and perfect for traveling. They're also all natural and made of 100% cotton. I am so excited to try out our DockATot and I'm hoping our baby loves to sleep in it!
Finn + Emma Elephant Outfit and Rattle
Body Suit // Shorts // Hat // Rattle

This adorable baby outfit and rattle are from the Finn + Emma elephant collection. Finn + Emma products are made with 100% organic cotton and eco friendly dyes. They have a variety of unique clothing prints and styles for babies and toddlers. They also have toys, teethers and play gyms made with all natural wood! The elephant collection is my favorite...I love the mint and gray! I picked out the outfit above for baby DeWire to wear throughout the summer. The shorts have a cute elephant pocket on the back and the hat is reversible! One thing I love about the Finn + Emma clothing is that you can mix and match so many items within the different collections. Each of the collections even have matching toys!
Lorena Canals Baby Rug
Lorena Canals specializes in rugs that are hand-made, natural and machine-washable. They also have a beautiful collection of cushions, baskets and blankets! Their home collection includes products for adult living spaces and children/baby rooms. I picked out this Baby Petit Point Grey rug for baby DeWire's nursery (comes in pink, too). The cross-stitch baby design is too cute! I love the modern look to the Lorena Canals nursery decor and the fact that their rugs are machine-washable. I'm sure my rug will get a lot of wear and tear between the baby and Jax, so being able to wash it will make things WAY easier! Also, proceeds from Lorena Canals rug purchases go toward the Sakula Project which provides schooling for children in India. How cool is that!?
Milestone is a company that makes baby photo cards for capturing the memorable moments in the first year of baby's life! It is such a cute idea and a great way to remember the special milestones through photos. I can't wait to take pictures of Baby DeWire with the various cards in our Over the Moon set!
This swaddle is from The Ollie World company and known as "The Smarter Swaddle." It's made from custom moisture-wicking material to reduce the risk of overheating and it has a custom closure so one size fits all! I also love that it has easy access for diaper changes with an opening in the bottom. I was super impressed with the beautiful packaging. The swaddle was folded in the adorable box you see pictured above, which also included the white zipper pouch to keep the swaddle in. We've purchased a few different swaddles and sleep sacks, so I'm looking forward to trying them out and seeing which our baby sleeps in best! This one gets amazing reviews.
The Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock is such a creative idea and I'm so excited to try it out when our baby arrives! These hammocks get great reviews and look like they make grocery shopping way easier with a young babe! The hammocks easily clip onto most grocery carts and are elevated so you can put groceries underneath. They hold up to 50lbs in weight so you can strap your baby directly into the hammock or you can strap in your infant car seat. I'll be sure to try both ways and let you all know which I prefer. I'm sure when our baby is little it will be easier to put his car seat right on top of the hammock!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'd love to know if you've tried any of these awesome products! I will be reviewing each of them once baby is here and we get to try them out. Stay tuned!
Products were provided for feature, all opinions are my own.

39 Week Bumpdate

Photography by Little Nest Portraits

39 Week Bumpdate

How Far Along: 39 Weeks and 1 day!

How I'm Feeling: I'm definitely slowing down! It's true what everyone says...the last few weeks are the toughest! The aches and pains are increasing but overall I'm not too bad and know it could be worse. I keep reminding myself how blessed I am that things look good at each of my appointments and everything is right on track.

Physical Changes: I'm experiencing increased back pain, hip and leg aching lately due to my belly being quite large! I feel like my bump is stretched to the max...LOL. I'm also feeling more tired! This is all pretty normal at the very end of pregnancy though.

What I Miss: I miss being able to do normal daily activities with ease! Everything requires so much more effort now. I get frustrated when I physically can't accomplish all I want to get done! Also, I can't wait to wear regular clothing again and for the swelling in my feet to go away.

What I'm Most Excited About: Meeting our baby and beginning this adventure...and feeling like myself again (not sure when this will happen though...especially with limited sleep haha)!

What I'm Least Excited About: The unknowns of labor and delivery and lack of sleep.

Exercise: I am definitely able to do less the past few weeks. I do go to a prenatal yoga class and a pregnancy chiropractor where I do some exercises, but other than that, just walking around as I'm on the go during the day! I love being active but my body is exhausted and so achy after a day where I'm on my feet a lot!

Cravings:
Still nothing crazy...but I have been craving seltzer waters and lemonade lately, which is odd for me. I'm usually happy with just water! I would also eat ice cream every day if I let myself...but that's nothing new! Ha.

Movement: Movement is definitely different now...he is running out of room! It's more of shifting and rippling motions and less jabs and kicks. He is more active in the evenings!

Nursery: Almost completely done! I want to add some more wall decor, like the baby's name spelled above the crib. I'll add these things after he is born and then do a nursery reveal blog post!

Name: I think we finally have a name we agree on! We are waiting to see him to make a final decision though.

Thanks so much for reading!
